I need a laptop and a tablet for college but getting both would be extremely expensive. So what is the best combo for a laptop and a tablet? Or should I just get a mini laptop and then a tablet?

I need a laptop for college. Preferably less than 1100. I extremely want a mac book but unfortunately parents aren’t sold on it. I’ve heard its the best in virus protection, lasting longest, updating not needed as much and its the fastest.

A dell is another choice, but I’ve heard it crashes more and slower.

I want a very fast computer that can stand all of my photos and music.
Advice please!! Thanks!

for 1100 it doesn’t really matter what you get as long as it has a decent processor, ram, and good hard disk memory. I saw a few laptops at best buy on sale that had decent specs and were under 1k. What you want is:

2.4ghz dual core CPU
ATLEAST 3 gigs or ram
and about 250 gigs of ram should be fine.

look at the toshibas at best buy…they have nice stats and look nice on the outside.

Soon, I will be attending college (I know, it starts late). I will be commuting by train to and from school everyday. I need a backpack that I can carry my books and laptop in. It has to be well built and safe for my laptop. My laptop is a 15.6″ Dell Studio. What would be a good backpack. Thanks.

I was going to go to indianapolis university or purdue and they have discount on laptops and computers that are normally retailed at 1300+ on the dell website but i wanna know what the student discount would be.
